The producer of ‘City Hunter’ laughs off the Rumors about Lee Min Ho

There is a rumor about City Hunter‘s Lee Min Ho, hypothesizing he died on the show and became a ghost.
On the 28th, SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama City Hunter aired its last episode. Lee Yoon Sung (played by Lee Min Ho) got shot and people thought he died.
However, the producer of the drama said, “He didn’t die. Even though the ending was somewhat vague, I didn’t mean to make people think that he was dead. That last scene, where Lee Yoon Sung was driving, expresses his sense of justice as a city hunter.”
He was asked if he was thinking about making season 2. He laughed and replied, “No. It may be possible if Lee Min Ho wants to be in the drama.”
Meanwhile, City Hunter aired 20 episodes in total and was loved by many people.

[Spoiler: City Hunter] The producer of ‘City Hunter’ clarifies the ending

On July 28th, SBS’s popular drama, ‘City Hunter‘ came to a close.

With the finale, the ending attracted much attention with controversial comments from viewers. The foster father of ‘Lee Yoon Sung‘ (played by Lee Min Ho), Lee Jin Pyo (played by Kim Sang Joong), was hit by a flurry of shots and ended up dead.

Even though at the end, Yoon Sung and ‘Na Na‘ (played by Park Min Young) were reunited in a happy ending, but some viewers were left to believe that Yoon Sung was actually a ghostly figure. However, the producer, Kim Yong Sup, stated to TVDaily on July 29th, “Yoon Sung is not dead“.

Kim Yong Sup elaborated, “Lee Yoon Sung (Lee Min Ho) sustained a bullet shot in the last episode, but after much time passes, he eventually meets Kim Na Na. He doesn’t appear as a ghost as it was actually just a time jump that we had set up. Of course, I respect the arbitrary interpretation of the viewers. However, just the fact that Yoon Sung didn’t die is strictly speaking, the definition of a happy ending. The director and writer put in the scene with this as their mindset.”

However, the last episodes of ‘City Hunter’ still resulted in the deaths of prosecutor ‘Kim Young Joo‘ (played by Lee Jun Hyuk) and Jin Pyo. Yoon Sung was injured by Jin Pyo’s bullet but recovered as time went by.

by cduswnl

Actor Lee Min Ho and SNSD’s Yoona have been chosen to be the new faces of French outdoor brand ‘EIDER Friends‘, following in the footsteps of their brand predecessors, Jang Hyuk and Chun Jung Myung.
It was said that the masculine and charismatic character Lee Min Ho portrayed through SBS’s ‘City Hunter‘ matched well with the challenging, yet professional image of the brand, while Yoona was chosen for not only her cheerful and sweet image, but also for her global star-like quality that was shown through her high popularity in Japan and Europe.

Lee Min Ho speaks about his nearly-fatal car accident

by leesa86 @allkpop

All eyes were on actor Lee Min Ho as he spoke about his near-death experience on a popular entertainment news program.
On July 13th, Lee Min Ho revealed, “The witnesses said it was a miracle I was still alive,” referring to his serious car accident on set that practically totaled the vehicle.
Lee managed to keep a light attitude, but added: “I feel fine now, except that my back still hurts – but it may be due to the excessive rain lately. I think I may need to see a doctor after this.
When asked about which of his action moves were the most memorable for him, he said it was the “Spoon Move”. He had practiced it so many times that he could now execute it with his eyes closed. “The move is supposed to be done with a sword, but because we can’t use that on set, we substituted it with a spoon.”
In regards to ‘City Hunter‘ as a whole, he said, “I feel like I’ve grown as a person while shooting ‘City Hunter’. Hopefully when it’s all said and done, I’ll be a better Min Ho than I was when I first started.”
In this drama series, Lee Min Ho portrays the role of ‘Yoon Sung’, the rebel who goes against society’s norms with his unconventional ways.

"City Hunter" Teases with Lee Min Ho's Action Scenes

by: hotshotlover30 @soompi.com/news

"City Hunter" Teases with Lee Min Ho's Action Scenes

SSD released teaser stills of Lee Min Ho from the upcoming episodes of “City Hunter.” In the 15th and 16thepisode, Lee Min Ho will add a “basement action scene” and a “water bottle fight scene” to his ever-growing list of action sequences – ie. “spoon fight,” “hat action,” etc.
In tonight’s episode, Lee Yoon Sung (Lee Min Ho) tracks down his fourth target, Haewon Corporations’s Chairman Chun Jae Man (Choi Jung Woo). In order to find traces of the Chairman’s corruption, Yoon Sung sneaks into his basement when security guards find him. He’s able to take down his opponents with light, swift movements.
Filming took place last Monday in one of the worst settings possible. The dark and stuffy basement reeked of mold, but the actor managed to cast his surroundings aside to focus solely on his stunt sequences. Lee Min Ho shot the scene in half a day, surprising the crew with his almost perfect action movements and chemistry with fellow stuntmen.
In this week’s episodes, Yoon Sung will once again battle Suk Doo Shik (Sung Chang Hoon), Chun Jae Man’s right-hand man. The two last met at the steps in front of Nana’s (Park Min Young) apartment and engaged in a staircase/hat fight scene. The upcoming encounter between these two promise to be even more intense than the first.
“City Hunter” will air its fifteenth episode tonight, July 13th, on SBS at 9:55PM KST.

Lee Min Ho’s Five Stages of Anger in "City Hunter"

by: hotshotlover30 @soompi.com/news

With only six more episodes until the finale, more and more people are unable to take their eyes off “City Hunter.” It’s truly an all-encompassing drama with a nice balance of action, thrill, and romance plots. Yesterday, “City Hunter” recorded its highest ratings yet with 19.6% (AGB Nielsen), blasting away its competitors. Sung Yuri’s “Romance Town” recorded 12%, while Jung Yong Hwa’s “Heartstrings” followed a distant third with 6.6%.
Meanwhile, both the public and fellow “City Hunter” actors have been praising Lee Min Ho nonstop for his dedication to his craft. Since his first lead role in 2008’s “Boys Before Flowers,” he’s shown vast improvements in acting. Now, the audience is able to perceive his character’s emotions with just a glance at his eyes. Various fans commented, “When Yoon Sung is hurting, it cuts me too,” “I’ve fallen into Min’s Ho’s brown eyes can’t get out,” and “It’s easy to hop on the ‘City Hunter’ bandwagon, but impossible to get off.”” Torn between justice, destiny, and love, Lee Min Ho’s Yoon Sung is at a crossroads.

“City Hunter’s” Lee Yoon Sung’s Five Stages of Anger

1st Stage: Yoon Sung’s surrogate mother shot to death in front of Yoon Sung
(episode 1)

2nd Stage: Nana saves Yoon Sung by throwing herself in front of the bullet
 (episode 11)

3rd Stage: Yoon Sung finds out Jin Pyo’s lies about his biological mother
(episode 12)

4th Stage: Mother/father/confidant Shik Joong gets hit by “target number 3’s” car (episode 13)

5th Stage: Yoon Sung realizes his father’s manipulations
(episode 14)

The truly “dark Yoon Sung” emerged in the fourth stage when the person he loved, Shik Joong, was almost killed right before his eyes – just like his surrogate mother. This incident awoke the sleeping giant inside Yoon Sung, the alter persona who was so caught up in fury that he blindly chased down gunmen before he stepped on a landmine seven years ago. Which stage was most memorable for you?
