Actor Lee Mi Ho will appear on a historical series for the first time after his debut.
On April 3, Lee’s agency, Starhaus Entertainment, said, “Lee will appear on SBS’s Faith (working title), which will air in August.” Since the series will be made by writer Song Ji Na and director Kim Jong Hak, who previously worked together for the series Hourglass and Taewangsashingi, many people are paying attention to the series. Unique material and a solid story for the series have made people wonder who will be cast for the series.
Lee expressed that he believes in the writer and director and said, “I was sucked into the script as soon as I started reading it. I like historical dramas and I have always wanted to perform in one. It was great timing, like I found a perfect armor for me. I also wanted to work with people that I respect.”
The series is about a warrior from Goryeo Dynasty and a female doctor in modern times. They will help the King become a true King who heals his people in the first year of King Gongmin’s reign. Lee will play the role of a captain of the King’s guard named Choi Young, who will become a general in the future.
Song wrote the series with close situations and thrilling reasoning and it will also make the audience laugh. Lee will show off his charismatic charms by performing general Choi Young with the bubbly character Eun Soo.
Lee rose to stardom after he appeared on Boys over Flowers in 2009. Then he appeared on MBC’s seriesPersonal Taste and SBS’s City Hunter. He showed different characteristics in each series. Since he is tall and has a great figure, he will show off his fantastic military arts by performing warrior Choi Young from Goryeo Dynasty and give the character three dimensions.
The series will air in August after the series Ghost, starring So Ji Sub and Lee Yeon Hee, goes off air.
